Alas I speak

First of all it was easy to get that Widget of the Baby on, but I have no idea how to get if off. It's not that I don't want to remove it, I just don't know how. I'm not the smartest blogger on the block. I bet there is some button that says remove widget somewhere. So the big day finally arrived-if you want to know as little as possible I suggest that you read no further, but just scroll down and enjoy the pictures. I slept in on Thursday(last week)-it was glorious. I straightened my hair, shaved my legs and just slowly got ready for work. I then decided that it was essential that I pick up baby wipes from Costco. My body must have known that I would be needing them soon. I'm walking around Costco and all of the sudden I pee my pants. I was looking all around for a bathroom, but I couldn't see one anywhere. I thought well it was just a little leak and I know there is a bathroom at target and they are usually pretty clean. So I head over to target and I continue...

Our Merry Christmas Picture

It was the end of Christmas Day and we realized that we had lugged our camera around all day and hadn't taken any pictures. That means we were left to use the timer and rig up the camera on some boxes. Cory took a couple. I think photo two ended up better-we actually took four, but the first two were dark as night. All that work for one photo. Cory making it just in time for the photo, but not enough time to smile. He looks like he just had the worst Christmas of his life. We had a really fun Christmas. We first drove through a wretched snow storm so we could eat the annual and traditional pigs in a blanket, then we came back home and ate a cheeseball and crackers along with chocolate and beef jerky-very healthy. Then we ended the night at Cory's parents house. It was a happy day. I love Christmas. I'm kind of sad it's over.

37 WEEKS

The time is coming to an end!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm excited and nervous....... Finally week 37! So this means that I can go into labor at any time and the baby is good and ready. I'm actually really excited for the whole birthing process. We just hired a doula and she said, "This is going to be so much fun." I like to think about that-it's going to be so much fun. I'm excited for the experience. I must also say that I love being pregnant. I know this is my first pregnancy, but it's amazing how perfect our bodies are and how they can change and just the miracle of creating life. Now it sounds like my emotions are talking-I'll probably be crying by the end of the blog. My tummy is getting larger and larger. I've finally gained about 20 pounds and I've also been growing a centimeter a week. I know that is boring information to some people, but it seems like that is what my life revolves around right now. Either that or what stroller is easiest to ...

Go UTAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know it's been a couple weeks, but we couldn't let it pass without showing our U of U pride. We had a red party the day of the U vs BYU game. We used red bowls, made chili and salsa. We were feeling pretty ambitious because we bought stuff to make red popcorn balls, but after the chili and salsa we kind of whimped out. But the Utes didn't hahaha. Cory and I celebrating right after the game. Go Utah. It was a fun game to watch-mostly because we won.

Baby Food AKA Applesauce

So we have been working on getting our food storage. It's quite the task, but it's actually really nice because you hardly ever have to go to the store and you can usually make anything you want and not have to worry about missing an ingredient. Unless you're making something funky like Thai Chicken Noodle Soup and you need red curry paste-just a recent example. We came to the realization that we had a plethora of vegetables, beans, pasta, flour, etc., but we had no fruit. The other day we went and picked some apples and decided to make applesauce. So now we have added many jars of various types of applesauce we have anything in between chunky and too soupy even for a baby-Don't ever try to put your boiled apples in the blender and puree. This nifty tool is a super, amazing, speedy fast apple peeler, corer, slicer. We can't take all the credit for this great device, my friend, Jenn told us about it. It makes applesauce easy and fun. Look at those beautiful apples....

Happy Halloween

I absolutely love Halloween. We started talking about Halloween costumes in August. It's funny because so many people say they don't like halloween, but I love the idea of dressing up and other people dressing up. It's just fun. This Halloween we had a rockin' party at Desi and Heather's house(my brother and sister in law). All my nieces and nephews were there, well except for Mckenna. They are so blasted cute. Here are Cory and I in our costumes. I hope that you can surely tell that I'm a bumble bee and Cory is a Wasp. Cory said he couldn't be a bumble bee because it wasn't manly enough, but apprently wasps are. We even made our own wings and our extra webbing came in handy so we could harness those lovely wings on our backs. This is our bees in action picture. We are practically flying away. The Halloween spread. The finger cookies were so good and I'm now addicted to chexmix with golden grahams. The meanest sheriff in town. About half way through...

A Sad Two Days

We had a couple of sad days this week. About a week ago our fish, Fred, started to look a little sick. He started to get fin and tail rot. I know that sounds bad, but it can usually be cleared up with antibiotics. We started Fred on some antibiotics and made sure the water had the right PH, but he continued to get sicker and sicker. The last few days of the week he lost his ability to achieve equilibrium and on Friday he finally just couldn't hold on anymore. Now I think that we would be dog people if we didn't rent, but we have definitely become fish people. I could watch Fred swim around for hours. He was quite the funny character. Cory has had him for about six years, so he was a pretty big fish. We were pretty sad when he died. This was the fish that we drove to get a new filter for over a year ago at 3am because he was overfed by some kids and couldn't breathe. But at least we still have Wilma, his woman friend, we thought. She started to mope around the bottom of the ...
