That silly boy loves flowers

I was chatting away on the phone when Isaak came running up to me yelling Mommy-Mommy. He laughed and ran off again. Cory was cleaning the bathroom and decided to put some of my headbands on Isaaks head--well Isaak rearranged them and slipped one into his mouth. He ran around with the headbands on for about twenty minutes. (Tina this is why I started laughing uncontrollably and could barely talk!) I guess I'll tell the story backwards since my pictures are uploaded backwards and I'm too lazy to try and fix them. We went hiking in AF canyon about a week ago and the wildflowers were amazing! We hiked this little trail along the creek and ended up in a meadow. I promise at one point Isaak was wearing clothes, but that was before we decided to eat our snacks. I don't know what in the world we were thinking about bringing cherries, but we did. Isaak was wearing a yellow polo shirt, so we quickly derobed the little lad so he could enjoy cherries. He was dripping in juice so I go...

Summer Lovin'

I'm in love with Summer ! I love being in the sun. I love hiking in the mountains and smelling the trees and feeling the soft dirt on the ground. I love getting all sticky and sweaty and walking into a cold house. I love leaving the windows open at night so a slight breeze can sneak in and keep my house cold. I love swimming and even more so I love to watch Isaak try and swim. We went swimming a couple times this week and most recently we went to a pool with a 2feet deep area and Isaak loved it. He refused any help and wanted to wade around. He went as far as picking up the rope in the pool and walking right underneath it. He was thinking that he could walk the entire pool I suppose. I wish I would have brought the camera, but sometimes I get lazy and kind of sick of worrying if it will get wet and even having to try and capture moments instead of simply enjoying them sometimes. I posted a couple pictures of our recent adventures where I actually took pictures. In Random order sinc...

Oldies, but Goodies

This post will be incredibly boring to most, but Ryan came over today and we were reminiscing and looking at old pictures. I thought of Erin and Paul hanging out at home and wished that th ey could have been giggling at all these old pictures with us. So Paul and Erin this one is for you! The three amigos on Halloween. Cory was puke--pretty gross. Paul-our honorary boyscout and Ryan the crazy looking pc-intel-something or other. I just love those two photos. They were young back in those days. I think the pictures were from 2003. I think it's awesome that they are still friends today. Not only are they Cory's friends, but I think of them as my dear friends also! I wish I had pictures of Lance and Johnny, but all Ry had were some really dark pictures at a bowling alley. Nemiha--i seriously think that you could thank me for not posting them!! This last picture is of me back in 2003. Cory had just moved down to Hawaii with Paul. I post this picture because it reminds me of how cu...

Tucked

For the first time in twenty years I tucked my shirt into my skirt. I know this might not be huge record breaking news, but it's the first time that I've done it since 1980's. I held out-I backed off-I was a little chicken, but yesterday with my new stylin' pencil skirt and my old purple button up that I bought in France(don't worry it's still stylish) I did some mighty tucking. I liked it. I hope I pulled it off. Cory took a picture, but the lighting was terrible. My finger had a Knee-Jerk (maybe I should say knuckle) and I deleted that picture mighty fast. I tried to take one by myself, but well it didn't turn out so well. So I deleted that one too. I love digital cameras. I wish I would have had one on my mission. Can you believe just ten years ago we didn't really have digital cameras? I had a point and shoot that groaned everytime I took a picture. I actually just finished developing all the film from that old camera. Our life has been full of excit...

BedHead

Isaak has the awesomest cowlick. It nearly takes up tons of room on his lil head. I imagine as his head gets bigger it will get smaller. Positive thinking, eh? I love his little cowlick because whenever he gets into the car seat or a little sweaty the thing gets volume! it goes all curly crazy messy. I'm always trying to swirl it back into place. I imagine it looks like I never comb his hair. Maybe I don't. I'm not going to tell. Cory got some awesome pictures of his bed head. I love the pictures I think that he's adorable in them. He has one of my favorite Isaak looks on his face. This day was awesome. It was supposed to be rainy and yucky out, but it was gorgeous. We didn't even do anything that exciting besides get a copy of our marriage license and Isaak's birth certificate. We stopped in SLC on our way home at the Belgian Waffle place and had ourselves a Gaufre. Yum. I love them and it got me thinking about Belgium and how much I love the city of Brussels a...

I know it seems as if I have disappeared

It may look like he is placing an Easter egg in his basket, but don't let him fool you. He's actually taking one out. He thinks that they are little balls instead of eggs, so he just wanted to toss them. Isaak in action===picking up an Easter Egg. He threw this one in the water that you can see in the upper part of the picture. Cory's mom makes these cream puffs. Isaak was really enjoying the filling. That's the new smile he gives us when we get out the camera to take pictures. If he will actually hold still . Where to even begin? This last week kind was kind of the stinkies. Okay it was absolutely stinky. Phew. I wonder do I even want to blog about it? Maybe I don't. But I can tell you that Isaak got sick again. So his earaches came back and we had some awesome screaming adventures in the car. I don't know if you have ever had an inner earache, but any time the pressure changes it really hurts. Cory had an inner earache when we were in Hawaii almost a couple o...

The $150 Earache

For those of you that don't know--Little "I" has had an earache for quite awhile. We've tried a few antibiotics, but it keeps coming back. We can tell when it starts to come back because he hits the charts at a 10 for irritability and fussiness, his nose starts running, and he gets a fever. I started making dinner around 3pm and then Isaak woke up. He only slept for like an hour. I was confused because I knew he was exhausted. I called our Doctor, so they could tell me what the next step was if the third round of antibiotics didn’t work. Isaak just cried and cried. I was trying to make dinner and then there was a knock at the door. One of the neighbor boys, Jackson, asked if he could play with Isaak. I said of course. So he played with Isaak outside for about a half an hour. I almost finished making dinner, but as I was cutting the apples with my new pampered chef tool--I sliced off a small piece of my thumb. At first I thought it was a little piece of apple on my thu...
