What an entrance

One of my friends is getting married--Rachel---so naturally she is having a bridal shower and naturally I decide to go. Of course I'm late because why should I be on time for anything-it's just not in my nature. I run on Sadie Time, which involves tons of doddling. I finally make it to the house and as I'm walking in the front door I start to get sharp pains on the back of my thigh--it's kind of like getting stuck with a needle over and over again. I start to get nervous that I've got a spider or something on my leg. As I'm walking in I pull my skirt up and frantically say to Rachel, "Is there something up my skirt? Do you see anything?" So I have my skirt pulled up for practically anyone to see and she doesn't see anything. The pain continues, so I go into the bathroom which is right next to the main gathering room. I pull up my skirt again and there is the problem-- a wasp is stuck under my skirt. The little wasp is mad and starts coming at me, s

a few of my favorite things.....

I have to share a couple of things that I've been enjoying, loving, watching, reading.....First the movie. We rented My Sassy Girl--loved it. It's not at the Redbox, so you'll have to splurge and go to Blockbuster or Hollywood, but it's totally worth it. Second the book, I just finished reading A Guide to the Birds of East Africa by Nicholas Drayson. It was quirky and fun-a perfect match for the movie mentioned above. I laughed out loud several times during the book and even had to read parts to Cory because I was giggling so much. He even giggled with me. hahahehe. Third summer nights--take advantage of these gloriously warm evenings. It's the perfect temperature to stroll, sit in the grass, look at the stars, which brings me to summer mornings-the breeze coming in the window, cool sheets, walking, listening to the birds, sprinklers, smellings the trees and grass--ahhh then the infamous hot afternoons perfect for swimming, lazying around and sitting under the swamp

We did it!!!!

Two incredibly happy people that love camping!!! We went-we conquered-we prevailed!!! Isaak slept through the night. He stayed nice and warm. Camping anyone????

Books, Books, Books

Have you ever been reading a book that you can't put down, but want to put it down so it doesn't end? As you creep closer and closer to the end of the book your mind is screaming--put it down! PUT IT DOWN! Save some for tomorrow! I have no will power I just can't stop. I finished an excellent book today. It was called The Septembers of Shiraz by Dalia Sofer. The book was fantastic and the writing was incredible. Her characters-wow-I'm just amazed with the book and sad because this is her first novel, so I can't track down her others and read them. I'm in a book drought. I need some help. I need books to read. I've been downing them faster than I can find new ones. I have been finding books off of readers choice, book covers--I recently found one by Lisa See called Snowflower and the Secret fan and two of her other books that were brilliant. So I ask for your help--give me suggestions--give me your favorites-or other people's favorites, or even books that
