CaTch UP

There are a couple of things that I've wanted to blog about, but forgot to make time to do it, but I have time now. First thing is..........................my first sewing project..... . In all it's hand sewn glory. I might have scared my Mom to death when I was using her sewing machine. It was the simplest sewing ever, but of course it was all new to me and I struggled to figure out how to use it--but the important thing was that I did. It took me forever to finish this project-really hours. I like the finished project, but I don't love it because it's a really raggedy look in all kinds of ways rather than just frayed edges. I like the fabric and that devilishly handsome man with the white tie in the background. This is Cory and I in my running days. I really mean days. I had to stop running because I couldn't eat enough calories to make milk and exercise. A quick plug for breastfeeding-how awesome that I get to eat whatever I want and it just melts away--haha!So t

Modge Podge

I have so many thoughts rattling around in my brain. And I have so many fun pictures to post. I was trying to do a digital scrapbook page, but Adobe Photoshop would not work, so here I am after a long week of not writing anything-ooops. I have had a hard time adjusting to motherhood. It thought it would be easy and I'd have this little baby that would be so much fun. Isaak is a blast, but my adjusting to motherhood wasn't easy. I first had to realize that the whole world didn't revolve around me. I don't mean to sound selfish, but I have been graduated for about five years and working. I quickly adapted to not being a student and liked to buy stuff. My favorite things to buy would include food(especially produce and well cooked food), clothes, vacations and food storage. How weird that I love to watch my piles of food in the storage room pile up. I also got to go wherever I wanted whenever I wanted. I know that some people will say, but it's the same you can do wha

My dirty little secret

My secret is that I love to pop zits. Want to know what makes it dirty? I love it when they pop or better yet explode. Are you grossed out? If not you may also be a fellow zip popper lover. I love when Isaak wears new socks and I get to clean the lint out from between his toes. I also enjoy cleaning dirt out of crevices with Q-tips or toothpicks. I have no idea why this gives me such satisfaction, but I feel like I've accomplished some great thing. I love the little things that I do every day that make it fun. I love to change Isaak's diaper and tickle his belly until he giggles or at least looks likes he's giggling because his mouth is wide open. I love to do some random house chores and see how excited Cory is when he gets home and I've done it. I also adore reading. It is one of my favorite past times that I have recently rekindled. I'm reading Rena's Promise and checked out a book on President Roosevelt (I love libraries too!). I'm in love with practical

oh la la

oh lalalalalalalala. I will just have you know when you say ohlala in french-it isn't at all what we Americans think. It surely doesn't mean hey hot stuff-or check that out-or that is sexy, but it actually means is- oh crap-or what in the world-or its the awesomest way to say--oh that just ticks me off. (forgive all my horrible grammatical errors) I remember being at a cute little Laotian ladies house(Claire-maybe you remember her-you might of cut her nails when I so kindly volunteered you.) and somebody was doing something outside and she started saying-ohlala-ohlala and clicking her tongue. You may wonder why I'm writing this-who cares about the french and their ohlala, but I do! And I actually feel like screaming OHLALA!!! And who would have even know what I meant if I wouldn't have shared this lovely tidbit of information. OHLALA! You are probably asking yourself-what, why? It's simply because Life is hard. Am I sad? no. Am I upset? no. I just realize sometimes

Swimming Time

They also have a pool up at Snowbird, so we got our little skinny guy all ready to go swimming including a rash guard. I had no idea they made rash guards for 0-6 months until I bought his. It might be viewed as a waste of money, but it sure is cute. Yes-he really is that cute. I know I'm amazed myself. These pics are out of order, but again blogger is not working with me-why is it so hard to move pictures? In any case he loved swimming-he didn't love exiting the pool so much-but it was a success all in all.

Wahoo!!!! Two Weekends Ago

I don't know if there is some kind of blog ethic that you are supposed to post things right after they happen, but I'm breaking the rules. We had the awesomest weekend two weekends ago and I've been meaning to record how much fun we have had, but I haven't gotten around to it or I should say that I've been cleaning and holding a baby-well I may have watched some tv-haha. It was a great weekend though-seriously. It started out with snowboarding!!!! YES-FINALLY!!!!! The long awaited day finally came. The snow was fresh and it got mushy during the day, but I stood undaunted. I prefer either powder or slush-I enjoy powder so much more, but if I have to choose between slush and ice-slush always wins-I'd rather have a wet butt than a sore butt. Cory and I left Isaak with my Mom-then we spent four lovely hours on the slopes. I finally got to wear my new coat which would explain the photoshoot I'm about to share with you. I LOOOOOOOVE my new coat. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
