And another!

I was so proud of myself during our trip to Goblin Valley because I didn't take that many photos. When I got home I discovered that I was wrong. I took way too many photos. Some of you may say there's no such thing as taking too many, but I like to scrapbook all the photos that I like so that I will remember the small things that happened later on down the line. So I'm still working on the second day of Goblin Valley. Maybe it's because we went on a super long hike that day or maybe it's because I was giddy about seeing red rocks again. In any case, I might upload some more of the pages, but I thought Cory's Mom would love to see these pictures. Isaak had a burning fever last night. I've been up since 4:30am with him. I got a couple of naps here and there, but I'm relieved that his fever has climbed down. You wonder what his little body is fighting off. We've all been sick for awhile. I'm beginning to wonder if we are missing some vitamins in our

sneaking it in

We explored Southern Utah for Fall Break and finally I got to organize some of the pictures. Obviously this is not NY, but more will be coming soon. What a little blogger I am this week. Maybe it's because Facebook has disabled me for being a fake person. It says on the website that if your offense is so offensive you won't even get a warning. I must have been pretty outrageous with something--maybe telling my Aunt Happy Birthday was taking it a little too far. Now I can't decide if I'm going to try and reinstate my account or just let it go..... Isaak has transitioned in the the TeRRiBle TwoS!! Yikes. I think we had about 20 temper tantrums today. Wow. And yes I use time out. I also try to redirect his behavior--remember I used to help people modify their behavior. I'm even a little mad about it because everyone told me Isaak would be an easy toddler since he had a rough start. Well it isn't holding out to be true. I guess we'll make it through one tantrum

The Sacred Grove

Off to day number 2. The day started with Gina asking us what we wanted to do. I didn't know. So Gina(being the awesomest tour guide ever) suggested that we go to Palmyra. I said, "umm-why would we want to go to Palmyra?" Gina asked, "you are kidding right?" I wasn't kidding and asked what was there--she said, "The Sacred Grove." Yep-I'm terrible at church history. I should have known the Sacred Grove was there. For those of you that don't-the Sacred Grove is where Joseph Smith knelt to ask God, which church he should join. As he prayed Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ appeared to him and told him to join no church. Joseph then went on to establish Christ's church again on the earth. Pretty big deal, eh? We decided to brave the rain and the clouds and head out. This was the first time I learned that you had to pay to get on the Highway--Crazy! We stopped for lunch at this cute small town restaurant. Cory had something resembling a Phill

NEW YORK

The flight to New York. Wow. I was a little nervous about this endeavor. I mean a myriad of things could go wrong, but I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised at how awesome it went. We flew out of our good ole city at 11:30pm. I thought the flight was at midnight, so we got there just in time to board. We ended up sitting on Row1--There is nothing better than the front row. We had extra leg room, Isaak was amused by the flight attendants. We got an aisle seat and the lady that sat next to us was a cute Grandma from Florida. Isaak was quite amused by the headphones and liked to put them in and out of the little slot. My music kept going on and off and on and off until I finally gave it up. I thought that Isaak would be exhausted, but alas he managed to keep his little blue eyes open until about 2am. That's right--he fought sleep until 2am. Finally he just looked at me and said, "Mommy," and he was out. We made a little bed by our feet for him--yay for extra leg ro
