The other day I went to meet my Mom for lunch. I had to feed Isaak, so I got there a little early so I could feed him in the parking lot. I've been listening to Christmas Music and thought it would be quite festive if we listened to Christmas music while he was eating. I usually feed him in the backseat because it's more discreet and there is more room. I also need to mention that all growing up my Grandma said, "Always lock your door so no one can get in." I've been terrified of these people that want in my car so I always lock my doors.
Since I wanted festive music I had to leave my keys in the ignition and climb into the backseat, which I did. I'm happily feeding Isaak in the back when I realize I haven't locked the doors! I start to panic what if those people want in now? we are so vulnerable. I better try to reach up front and lock the doors. Then I look over and realize that all the doors are already locked. I start to scratch my head in thought. If I locked the doors when I got out of the car how did I open the back door to get into the back seat??? Still an enigma. I think it was a miracle. Thanks Heavenly Father. I might have had a nervous breakdown had I locked my baby in the car with my keys, while he was hungry.
We also stopped at our first accident the other day. It was the day a couple weeks ago when it actually snowed. We saw a car spin out of control and hit the barrier. I yelled at Cory to get over. We jumped out of the car and both started running to the other car when we realized we probably shouldn't leave Isaak alone in the car on the side of the freeway. Cory told me to run to the car since I knew first aid and have my Wilderness First Responder. I stood shocked and terrified--what if the driver was seriously hurt, dangerous, dead, bleeding, or a myriad of pictures went through my mind. Cory noticed I was scared and showed more courage than me. He ran back to the car and checked on the guy. He was fine. He was scared, but he was okay. Phew. Cory is my hero. He also scrapped all the ice off my car for me when I had to leave early before he went to work. Now he's my super hero.
Super Hero and lil' hero in training

So were those people hurt at all? It's nice when we can recognize life's little miracles.
The picture of cory and isaak is adorable. Isaak is my hero but Cory is a close second. I looked at your mom's photography blog and noticed some cute cute pictures of you....
I was the first to respond to an automobile accident before... it was very scary and I lucked out because a doctor ran up behind me and he handled the blood and everything else much better then I did. I am glad that those experiences don't happen all too often.
