Les Miserables

I finally did it. I read the entire book and I'm in love with Victor Hugo. Well not literally. I don't even know what he looks like, but the book is brilliant. I don't know why I was never able to finish it before because I could barely put it down the last month. It's a long book and it felt good to actually read a book for so long. My favorite parts about the book was getting to know the characters--the good and the bad. You were more exposed to them and sometimes they drove me nuts with being so silly!! And other times I adored them. How Victor sets up a scene is pretty impressive how clearly he can see it in his mind. So that's that.

I also recently started reading a book called The Anatomy of Peace. It's about being at peace in your heart all the time. I love it. I'm close to being finished already and hope it helps change my life. That's what I'm hoping for anyway.

I'm also pretty pregnant. I'm really starting to feel it now. I have to sit up straight to keep my breathing normal and I'm starting to not like bending over so much. And suddenly I'm hot a lot of the time. I don't know when my internal hotness got turned on, but the switch has flipped! Thank goodness fall is just around the corner though I love and hate fall. I love the leaves, but I hate that it means that summer is ending and that winter is surely coming!

I haven't been blogging a lot because i've been nesting already. I might be going a little crazy with wanting to organize everything and be all on top of things. I wonder if I'll ever get on top or if I'll constantly be scrambling. So I've been trying to scrapbook all of our cali trip and get caught up with Isaak's stuff, so I can start on all the girl stuff that is going to be coming at me soon. Wow. Two kids. I might freak out some days. I see how we have adjusted to having Isaak and how we seem to have a system and it's all about to change. Yikes. How will it work I ask myself and then I remember--oh yeah--one day at a time!!!! Just a few of the pages that I've been working on. Isaak had a cupcake for lunch, which he thought was pretty awesome. Vacation and cupcakes. I loved it too!

I love those scrap book pages that you do. How do you do them? What program do you use?
I think you'll do great with two kids. For some reason I'm thinking that adding another is not as life changing as the first one is. Hopefully. :)

Sadie, I was just catching up on your blog...congrats on the baby girl! I'm so excited for you! And I'm sure you will do a fantastic job handling 2 kids - just think of how many teenage hooligans you used to control at one time! :) Still...I wish you the best of luck! P.S. - are you using Hypnobabies again?

Whaaaaat??????

I'm happily brushing my teeth in the bathroom. I'm looking around wondering what else I could be doing while I'm brushing my teeth and I started to think to myself, hmmmm , I wonder what's in toothpaste? I picked up the tube with my free hand and continued brushing. As I was reading the back I noticed a WaRnINg : Do not use for more than four weeks at a time. What? Do not use for more than four weeks? I anticipated reading if you swallow more than what you are brushing your teeth with call poison control. I try to start adding up how long I've been using this toothpaste. Cory didn't like it, so I've been using it solo and it has surely been more than four weeks. Now I don't know what to do with it--do I take a break and come back to it or do I just keep using it? I mean it's been about three months and I still have quite a bit left and nothing seems out of the ordinary yet...But seriously I think that the warning on the toothpaste should at least be

OW!!!!!

So yesterday we decided to go rollerblading. I know it’s a little out of style, but it is great fun. The first thing that I need to mention is that I have a great pair of rollerblades. They are speedy-I barely have to move. The second is that I’m not great at stopping. I can do it, but it’s hard to stop quickly. So the story-There is this trail by our house that is hilly and curvy. We start going uphill and we are going against the wind so it’s pretty hard. We were a huffin’ and puffin’ and sweatin‘--Cory more than me since he‘s actually pushing the stroller. I start to get a little nervous when Cory points out that we will be going downhill and the wind will push us. Hmmmm-I’m thinking to myself that means we’ll practically be flying. I tell myself it’s okay because I’ve gotten much better at stopping. I even reached the top of the trail before Cory and was telling my friend Tina that I had better get off the phone unless I wanted to end up getting plastic surgery from face planting.
