BedHead

Isaak has the awesomest cowlick. It nearly takes up tons of room on his lil head. I imagine as his head gets bigger it will get smaller. Positive thinking, eh? I love his little cowlick because whenever he gets into the car seat or a little sweaty the thing gets volume! it goes all curly crazy messy. I'm always trying to swirl it back into place. I imagine it looks like I never comb his hair. Maybe I don't. I'm not going to tell. Cory got some awesome pictures of his bed head. I love the pictures I think that he's adorable in them. He has one of my favorite Isaak looks on his face. This day was awesome. It was supposed to be rainy and yucky out, but it was gorgeous. We didn't even do anything that exciting besides get a copy of our marriage license and Isaak's birth certificate. We stopped in SLC on our way home at the Belgian Waffle place and had ourselves a Gaufre. Yum. I love them and it got me thinking about Belgium and how much I love the city of Brussels a...

I know it seems as if I have disappeared

It may look like he is placing an Easter egg in his basket, but don't let him fool you. He's actually taking one out. He thinks that they are little balls instead of eggs, so he just wanted to toss them. Isaak in action===picking up an Easter Egg. He threw this one in the water that you can see in the upper part of the picture. Cory's mom makes these cream puffs. Isaak was really enjoying the filling. That's the new smile he gives us when we get out the camera to take pictures. If he will actually hold still . Where to even begin? This last week kind was kind of the stinkies. Okay it was absolutely stinky. Phew. I wonder do I even want to blog about it? Maybe I don't. But I can tell you that Isaak got sick again. So his earaches came back and we had some awesome screaming adventures in the car. I don't know if you have ever had an inner earache, but any time the pressure changes it really hurts. Cory had an inner earache when we were in Hawaii almost a couple o...

The $150 Earache

For those of you that don't know--Little "I" has had an earache for quite awhile. We've tried a few antibiotics, but it keeps coming back. We can tell when it starts to come back because he hits the charts at a 10 for irritability and fussiness, his nose starts running, and he gets a fever. I started making dinner around 3pm and then Isaak woke up. He only slept for like an hour. I was confused because I knew he was exhausted. I called our Doctor, so they could tell me what the next step was if the third round of antibiotics didn’t work. Isaak just cried and cried. I was trying to make dinner and then there was a knock at the door. One of the neighbor boys, Jackson, asked if he could play with Isaak. I said of course. So he played with Isaak outside for about a half an hour. I almost finished making dinner, but as I was cutting the apples with my new pampered chef tool--I sliced off a small piece of my thumb. At first I thought it was a little piece of apple on my thu...

Who wants ice cream????

Rain! Rain! Go away! Come again Some other DAY!!! Yesterday was fleeting, but it was full of hope that we will once again see spring. I really need to move to a warmer climate. Maybe Cory should go to school in Hawaii. We went to the park yesterday and Isaak loved it. We walked past a group of teenage girls and Isaak stopped in his tracks and yelled out hi--they didn't respond, but he didn't stop trying-he kept saying HI! HI! HI! Waiting for someone to acknowledge him. He's already trying to get the ladies attention. Once we got him to the park though we couldn't get him away from the steering wheel by the slide. I think he finally thought he was allowed to drive something all by himself. He loves to sit in the front of the car--disclaimer:though he never gets too. He loves to hold the steering wheel and pull down the blinker and such. He's just a ball of adorableness. The ball of adorableness at the wheel-see that pleased grin? We went to Logan a few weeks ago and ...

A glimpse into my past....

With a Wink and a Smile. When he knows I've got the camera he gives me a little scrunchy face smile. It's one of my favorite faces and I'm so happy to have got it at the perfect moment. My new scarf--thank you Tina. I watched youtube videos and learned fun new ways to wear it, so if you don't like it take it up with the cute British lady who gave me the idea. We recently took an emergency responder course to learn how to help if a natural disaster happens. Cory was dressed and prepared in case it happened while we were walking around the block. He might have had some people looking at him strangely, especially when he started walking backwards.... A glimpse.....I have thought about blogging for a couple weeks, but have always found something else to do with my time like watching the Bachelor for instance. I kind of cheated this time and I read a spoiler at the beginning of the show. At first I thought that I would regret it, but as it turns out I'm glad that I did b...

Isn't that nice?

1. I was shopping at the grocery store the other night because I wanted some white beans and they were on sale. Why white beans? First of all, I love Pasta E Faglioli and Second, Vegetarian Chili, and Third I don't have any more recipes so if you have any let me know. I got to the appointed aisle and there were no white beans. I was disappointed and debated if I wanted to go and ask for a rain check , then.....Another guy on the aisle shopping with his little guy--noticed me going through all the cans checking behind other cans and he asked me if I was looking for white beans. I said yes and then he gave me four cans out of his cart. He said we have plenty you can have some of ours. I couldn't believe it. It was so NICE! It made me want to be more nice. I really think we sometimes forget that we are all people and we are all in this together, but it made my day. 2. The next morning I am at my Yoga class. The people in the class are really nice and chatty, so after we were talk...

Laundry Time

I want to know why in Utah if you put your blinker on people think that it means to speed up. Here I am thinking that it means that we are supposed to be ready for someone to come over into the lane. I am fully aware that it's not "my" lane and we are all entitled to ride in the lane to get to where we are needing to go. I often wonder why when I put my blinker on people don't eagerly welcome me to the lane and happily let me in. I'm talking about times when there is no traffic-yes-people still speed up and act like they are all put out that you might need to turn left instead of right. I guess what I'm trying to say is I wish we were all just a little nicer and realized everybody needs to get somewhere sometime and we might as well help each other do it. Phew...that's that. I will step off of my soap box. Isaak has been sick this week. He has been a miserable little camper. He had a fever for about four days. Finally it has passed--hiphiphooray for antibi...
