Wholly Guacamole!!!!

Cory always makes fun of me because I'm afraid of birds. I only watched about 5 minutes of The Birds, but that was enough for me. ENOUGH!!! One time I went to Hanalei Bay on Oahu and spent the entire time in the water to avoid the birds all over the beach, which says a lot because my other great fear happens to be sharks, but I figured I'd take my chances with the sharks rather than the birds. I think I read once that you are more likely to die from getting hit on the head by a coconut than bitten by a shark. Weird because I definitely don't fear coconuts at all.

Isaak, Leona and I went on a walk to the new grill that opened up in our neighborhood to check it out. I promised Isaak ice cream if he did a good job and walked the entire time. I need to find that kid a scooter, but we live in a land of insane hills so I don't know if that would help. Maybe. Back to the story. We had finished eating our fries and Isaak got a lovely twist cone and I was thinking about how much I loved summer. It was such a blissful moment. I love feeling sticky and hot then walking into a nice air conditioned building and eating me some sugar. It was awesome. We started our walk back home and Isaak and I were chatting when a bird flew into my head. I giggled a bit-nervously because I'm afraid of birds right? My anxiety kind of heightened, but I figured that the bird was temporarily confused and accidentally ran into my curly locks. I told Isaak if he saw the bird coming again to let me know. Before I could finish my sentence-the bird dive bombed aka attacked my head. What the heck? Isaak shouted out-Wholly Guacamole! I couldn't believe it. I grabbed Isaak's push mower and started waving it frantically above my head. I saw the bird sitting on the tree glaring at me with it's black beady eye. I glared back in obvious defiance, but honestly I'm sure he saw the fear in my eyes. Why would he be doing this to me? Then in full view he came in for the attack but thanks to Isaak's push mower that I had been grumbling about holding the last five minutes I diverted the little devil away from my head. Then I started running like our lives depended on it and told Isaak he better tell me if that bird was coming at me again. He started to yell--Wholly Guacamole and I started swingingt he lawnmower on cue above my head. I think the bird got the message because he flew away from me. I watched for him the whole rest of the way home. I would love to see that whole incidence on replay. But for now I don't think my fear of birds is irrational anymore!!!

Bwahaha... I was picturing this and I bet it was hilarious to watch. Really weird that that bird decided to pick on you, but now that I think of it there are some pigeons (I think) at SGU in Grenada that hang out around the student building and do the same thing to the poor unsuspecting students walking around. lol Maybe this bird has become territorial?

Little "I" takes his first daring steps into the unknown...okay we didn't really have the camera ready for his first steps, but he took them on Cory's Birthday. Cory was so excited that Isaak actually gave him a Birthday Present--ahhh, I'm sure your heart is melting. We've had some big changes in January. Mainly Cory's work schedule. It's all crazy, but we are adjusting. We've gone snowshoeing about five times already this year. Isaak gets so bundled up that it reminds me of The Christmas Story when the little boys cries because he can't put his arms down. Isaak got swimming lessons for Christmas. I laugh hysterically during the lessons. Isaak isn't a cuddly baby, but in the pool he wraps his little arms around my neck and DOESN'T let go!!! He is warming up to the idea though and was less scared this week compared to last week. But I must admit that I love the cuddling. We also bought him some reusable swim diapers. He looks like he'

Whaaaaat??????

I'm happily brushing my teeth in the bathroom. I'm looking around wondering what else I could be doing while I'm brushing my teeth and I started to think to myself, hmmmm , I wonder what's in toothpaste? I picked up the tube with my free hand and continued brushing. As I was reading the back I noticed a WaRnINg : Do not use for more than four weeks at a time. What? Do not use for more than four weeks? I anticipated reading if you swallow more than what you are brushing your teeth with call poison control. I try to start adding up how long I've been using this toothpaste. Cory didn't like it, so I've been using it solo and it has surely been more than four weeks. Now I don't know what to do with it--do I take a break and come back to it or do I just keep using it? I mean it's been about three months and I still have quite a bit left and nothing seems out of the ordinary yet...But seriously I think that the warning on the toothpaste should at least be
